Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Yap. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using Yap you confirm you meet these requirements.

You agree not to:

• ·Impersonate a real person in a harmful, deceptive, or harassing way, or use the Service to harass, threaten, or defame others.
• ·Create content that is illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, or that violates others' rights.
• ·Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• ·Use the Service to generate spam or to violate any applicable law.

Yap personas are AI simulations. They are NOT real people and do not represent the actual views, statements, or endorsements of any real individual, even when based on a public handle. AI output can be inaccurate, fabricated, or offensive, and may not reflect reality. Do not rely on it as fact, advice, or the genuine voice of any person. You are responsible for how you use and share content generated through the Service.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your display name, photo, bio, handles, and messages). You grant Yap a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit what you provide.

Yap offers an optional paid subscription, Yap+, billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel anytime, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. Prices and features may change with notice.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or reliable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yap and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.

You may stop using Yap and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and may notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
